Creative hub131は、江戸東京で最も古い町の一つ、日本橋大伝馬町の古ビルを半年がかりで 手作り改装し、リノベーションされた施設です。
「新たな公共性を意識した実験的なコミュニティを形成し、地域社会と共にアート・クリエイティブの拠点を目指します」とヴィジョンを掲げスタートしました。経済産業省CREATIVE TOKYO賛同施設となっています。
これ以上ないというほどの自由度を手に入れるため、 自主的な責任とリスクによってインディペンデントに運営されています。 2010年秋よりプロジェクトをスタート、2011年7月にオープンし、 通常の仕事場ではできないようなものづくりの場として、 人と人がともに時間を過ごし、繋がるハブとして、 新しい働きかたの方法を試し生み出す場として、 それらを発表する場として、 実験・実践の拠点として機能しています。
Creative Hub 131 was created as a facility with over a half year of handmade renovation of an old building at Nihonbashi Odemmacho, one of the oldest districts in Edo-Tokyo, one of the oldest districts in Edo-Tokyo.
It was launched with the vision of "forming an experimental community with a new public awareness, and aiming to become a center for art and creativity together with the local community. It is a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) CREATIVE TOKYO supported facility.
In order to gain a more maximized flexibility (freedom), each organization in the Creative Hub 131 is managed independently and takes it's own individual responsibilities and risks. The project was begun fall in 2010, and launched in July of 2011. It is for where we are not able to make or create otherwise

本施設は、地上7階・地下1階の複合ビルで「Creative Hub 131」（クリエイティブ・ハブ いちさんいち）といいます。私たちは、人と人の繋がりを意識した実験的なコミュニティをつくりながら、先鋭的なアート・クリエイティブのＨub(ハブ)となることを目指していきます。
Creative Hub 131の名称は、異なるジャンルのプロフェッショナルなクリエーターが集まるネットワーク拠点という意味のHub（ハブ）と、準備期間に起こった3.11を経て、日本橋大伝馬町13-1という場所から新たに始めて行く決意を込めて名付けました。1590年（天正18年）の徳川家康の江戸入城を機に始まる長い歴史と伝統のある日本橋地区の精神性を継承しながら、新たな価値を創っていきたいと思います。
This facility has 7 upper floors and also a basement/ As a multi-use building, Creative Hub 131 ( 131 pronounced, Ichi San Ichi), we are consciously forming an experimental community for people to get together while we aim to produce bases for artistic creativity for local societies.
Also, as this is the main location where multiple events of Central East Tokyo (Nihonbashi, Asakusabashi, Bakurocho and Kanda areas) took place and became a subject of talk in 2003.
The naming of Creative Hub 131 comes from the use of "Hub" as a place of networking to gather different people from various genres or disciplines. Also, through experiencing the March 11 (Great Tohoku earthquake) during our preparation of this place, it became our will to begin anew from this place; 13-1 Odemmacho, Nihonbashi. We would like to create new values through inheriting the spirits of a long history and traditions/customs of the Nihonbashi area which was started by Ieyasu Tokugawa entering his Edo castle in 1590.
